Work In Progress - Part 2




Sorry it's a bad shot! Photographing large paintings requires a lot of set up and preparation to get right...since these shots are just to show the process I'm not spending forever lighting it. But I should at least be a little more careful to be square (which this one isn't)...because it throws the proportions off. His head is not quite that heavy and the flash washed the color out of the riders jacket.


The next step will be figuring out the hooves...why do they have to be so hard!!!!

Wow!! This is a great painting! I love how you are showing your work as it evolves. This is one of my favorite angles of a horse jumping... I have a shot of my horse Lola & I like this. Since I'm down here, I will check up on Gentle R for you and give you a report on how well he is doing in Wellington. Can't wait to see your next posting!!
