In addition to the pine trees in the Carolina's I also am a big fan of the marshes of Georgia. South of Savannah (one of my favorite cities) you drive for nearly an hour through huge salt water marshes. I love the way they look in the winter. The water appears nearly black and the grasses are shades of beige. Combine that with a sunset and it's breathtakingly beautiful. This piece is about 16" x 20", Oil on paper again.
